Your thoughts have an impact on how well you cope with life challenges.  Noticing what you think about when situations arise and making adjustments, when appropriate, may make that journey easier.  This week we are looking at changing what you can and accepting what you can't.

As you go through your day you are going to have many different things to deal with.  How you approach them can have a big effect on whether your day has been successful, and you are happy.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Do you struggle with or complain about things that are out of your control or do you acknowledge that some situations just are and work with what you are given?

This can be as simple as having planned a family picnic, however, that day it is raining.  Do you get upset or do you put down a blanket in your house and set out your picnic food, then top it off by playing a board game with the family.  Is it the same, of course not, however it can still be a fun day, and everyone will have a nice memory instead of somebody complaining.

Action to take

The next time you are faced with a situation you can't control, take a moment to stop and acknowledge that fact, then engage your imagination to figure out how you can still make the best of it.
