This month we find ourselves in the holiday season which brings up different things for many people. However, we have challenges this year that we have not had in the past. So, my focus this month is on helpful tips to ease your way through the holidays for 2020.
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old, we grow old because we stop playing”--Anon
The seventh tip I gave you this month was “Remember to play. Have fun. Be childlike. Jump in a puddle, blow the puffs off a dandelion, make funny faces, or sing silly songs. Make it a special time with the children, family, and friends.”
Playing doesn’t have to be part of a game, sometimes it can just be having fun or being a little silly. I personally like to have fun everywhere I go with very few exceptions. Heck, I even have a good time when I go to the dentist or donate blood.
Today’s coaching challenge
When was the last time you played hide and seek with a little one or just let your hair down and got a little silly?
Remember being childlike is about not taking yourself so seriously; like the expression “Lighten Up”.
Action to take
What could you do today to remind yourself that there is still a little boy or girl inside you that wants to play from time to time?
Always supporting you,
Jan
