This month I am talking about things to do to create a good year for yourself or maintain the momentum you have already started.  While creating a positive and successful year, it's important to remember that some days will be more productive than others.  If you maintain your focus and take one step forward each day you will be amazed at what you will have accomplished by the end of the year.

Each person deserves a day away in which no problems are confronted, no solutions searched for.  Each of us needs to withdraw from the cares which will not withdraw from us. ---Maya Angelou

On a monthly basis, take a whole day for yourself---play, treat yourself to something you want to do; retreat from your daily life.  Mark these special days on your calendar (in ink) so you'll be certain to take them. 

Today's coaching challenge

When was the last time you took a day off just for yourself to do whatever you wanted to do?

First, let me mention that it's not selfish to do this.  For years you have been taking care of business and other people's needs.  One day a month is perfectly reasonable to have just for you.  If you can't remember the last time then you are long overdue.

Action to take

Pull out your calendar, what day in February will be your personal day?  Will you stay in your pajamas all day, go for a hike, what will you do?
