We have discussed the relationship between chronic stress and illness.  It has been proven that chronic stress is hazardous to your health and relationships.  April's Javas will discuss things you can do today to start you on the road to less stress.  This week seek activities or projects that make you feel good.  By involving yourself in a pleasing activity you shift your attention and focus to that and away from the things that are causing you stress.

Always find time for the things that made you feel happy to be alive. -- Steve Maraboli

For some that activity might be getting a massage, taking a class, or volunteering for your favorite charity.  Determine what's important to you and create a lifestyle that embraces and supports you.

Today's Coaching Challenge

Have you gotten lost in the day-to-day duties and forgotten to take some time to just enjoy yourself?  Think of how great it would feel to just immerse yourself in something that really brings you joy.

We are all so busy being busy.  I honestly think that the only way life will start to slow down again is if the satellites and power grids go down. I bet when to look at your to-do list it is filled with I Shoulds and I Need To items.  Consider adding time into your schedule for I Want To activities or projects.

Action to take

What could you start today that is something you have been wanting to do for a long time, is it writing that book, learning to play guitar, or maybe it's finally planting that vegetable garden?  When you spend time on a project that brings you pleasure or purpose you will be nurturing yourself and will greatly reduce your stress.

Always supporting you,                                                                                                                                                                                                  Jan
